This strategy has 2 parts. First, Google loves fresh content. Google will rank you lower if your content is stagnate. Google will not index your site as often in this case. This means when you finally get around to adding new content it may take 2 weeks for it to be updated in Google’s index. This will severally hinder your SEO efforts.
Second, Users also find fresh content interesting. Give your users a reason to comeback and click on more ads or speak about your products and services. Writing interesting articles is time consuming so why not take advantage of the free content that is already out there.
